Hook'd Up Mobile IV Hydration
My Experience

Sarah, BSN, RN
As an emergency room nurse, nearly all of my patients receive IV fluids. Intravenous fluid therapy is a first-line treatment for many ailments requiring fluid and electrolyte replacement and blood volume replenishment. It is a simple, safe, and common yet effective procedure. Many patients arrive at the ER, receive one or two bags of IV fluids, and are then safely discharged home. This may happen over the span of four hours or even eight hours on a high-volume day.
I understand how overwhelming and stressful being in the ER can be, especially for a patient. As an advocate for mind-body health, I started Hook’d Up with the intent of removing the unnecessary stress of traveling to and from the hospital and spending, quite literally, an entire day waiting to be seen, treated, and discharged when all that was really needed was hydration and electrolyte or vitamin replacement therapy!
I believe offering a more accessible and less stressful approach to healthcare will motivate people to give their bodies the hydration they need when they need it, avoiding a trip to the ER or a potential hospital stay. With my Bachelor of Science in both nursing and nutrition, I have always been an advocate for preventative and holistic healthcare. I am a firm believer that food is medicine, but I also understand that it is not realistic for everyone to meet all their daily nutrient requirements through diet alone (yes, as a nurse, I have gone entire 12-hour shifts without eating).
Whether you are having a busy week and haven’t drank nearly enough water, are dealing with an illness or disease where your oral intake has decreased, are an unlucky victim of food poisoning, partied a little too hard, are a health and fitness advocate, or are an athlete wanting to maintain that balance, IV therapy at home is a game-changer. We hope to continue serving our community through accessible and affordable services.
